In February 2003, the School of Business Administration began offering the International Trade Training and Export
Internship Program. This program has been designed to enable participating companies to develop and/or enhance their
export capabilities while creating a pool of skilled and experienced international trade specialist. Representatives
from all levels of government as well as individuals from industries such as agriculture, seafood processing,
manufacturing, and biotechnology have participated as students in the classroom as well as internship employers.
The program continues to assist Island firms to increase their export capacity while retaining qualified trade
